What is...
| The Sounds exists as an exotic oasis of music and
dancing in a world parched by the dusty wind that blows off the Desert
of Popular Culture. Where genuine highly-trained Go-Go Girls strut
their stuff, exciting the passions tastefully, urging the throng to
dance more wildly and drink deeper of the colourful cocktails of their
lives. Where swirling colours from Miss Deaths collection of vintage
psychedelic projectors paint the crowd in paisley hues. Where the DJ
tends a sonic jungle of rare species of vinyl from the four corners of
the globe, from every time and place. Where everybody gets up and
moves, to the most amazing mixes of funk, 60s pop, batchelor pad
lounge, goth, Eurobeat, soundtracks and straight up rock'n'roll that
ever teased your ears. |

Miss Death - Direct from the Island of Lesbos, and basing her stage persona solely on a nightclub act from Jesus Francos first horror film The Aweful Doctor Orlof, Miss Death is one eclectic DJ. With contacts all over the globe, she certainly plays the most compelling sounds of Seduction!
Jay Katz - Infamous curator of the Mu Meson Archives, recently seen on your TV in the SBS Movie Show, Katz is the lightning bolt on the dance floor and the passion that drives the Sounds. With over 20 years of vinyl preservation under his belt, the music heard at the Sounds could be considered some of the most obscure yet provocative tracks on the planet. To Katz, this music has no worth unless it is given back to the people with the same energy with which it was recorded in its day.
If you've had enough of sterile club experiences, wandering through the echoing halls of sterile Naughties minimalism, listening to the same tunes that blurt all day from the radio in the next cubicle that the office drone has locked onto the most boring commercial station in the universe, then you need the Sounds of Seduction.
